Other Distinguishing Features: The Yellow Claw has a pale yellow skin colour quite unlike the skin tones of other Orientals. The reason for the Claw's unusual colouring is unknown.
Strength Level: The Yellow Claw possesses the normal human strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: The Yellow Claw has superhuman psychich abilities with which he can influence another person's sensory perceptions, causing that person to see, hear, and even feel the illusions the Claw projects into his or her mind. The Yellow Claw has considerable knowledge of sorcery, and has even proved able to reanimate the dead.
Other Abilities: The Yellow Claw is a genius in biochemistry, and, among his other achievements, he created the elixirs that prolong his life. In recent decades he has also made great strides in genetic engineering, enabling him to create monstrously mutated animals. The Claw also has considerable skill in robotics.

The Yellow Claw is a master of the Chinese martial arts and a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. His battle prowess may have lessened somewhat recently, now that age has allegedly begun to catch up with him (unless he has found a new means to retard the aging process).

Special Weaponry: The Yellow Claw has made use of a wide array of highly advanced weaponry. He can weaken a person's will with his 'id paralyzer'. Slaves who have been subjected to the id paralyzer are commanded telepathically by the Claw through helmets they wear that transmit and amplify his mental orders.
Other Accessories: Gigantic and hideously mutated creatures of his own design, created by biologists in his employ.

Significant Issues: Invaders (Vol I) #41 (in 1942, encountered Lady Lotus in New York's Chinatown); Yellow Claw #1-4 (in mid-1950's various schemes to conquer America foiled by FBI Agent Jimmy Woo and grandniece Suwan); What If (Vol I) #9 (in late 1950's, recruited team of superhuman minions, abducted President Dwight D. Eisenhower, battled the 50's Avengers); Marvel: TLG #3 (told about the Hipster by one of his minions, showed Fritz Von Voltzmann that he had the Sub-Mariner and that he was under his control, tricked the Sub-Mariner into wearing a set of his armour, tried to blow-up his headquarters, almost stopped by the Black Fox, as it was a deadman switch the bomb exploded anyway, the Yellow Claw disappeared); Marvel: TLG #7 (in 1961, discovered by Dr. Cassandra Locke to have the Sub-Mariner under his control during the period when he was a total amnesiac (see Marvel: TLG #3)).
