The UnOfficial Timeline of the Marvel: The Lost Generation Universe

This is my UnOfficial Timeline of the Marvel Universe for events leading up to Fantastic Four (Vol I) #1 - the time period for the Golden Age Heroes and of the "Lost Generation" - and for the "Lost Generation" events taking place in the 22nd Century.

  22nd Century

Cassandra Locke travels from here to learn the truth about the "Lost Generation". Her father (Alex) and partner (Gene) uncover the plot with help from Pixie and information gathered by Cassandra.

1993

Early 1993 - the newest X-Men (Havok and Lorna Dane) travel to the Himalayas to check on an unidentified mutant signature. They are followed by the remaining X-Men (Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman and Marvel Girl) - both groups are attacked by Yeti. He has lost the last traces of his humanity and has reverted to a savage beast. Yeti is stopped by Pixie and the Inhumans - the fate of the First Line is revealed to the X-Men, and that Yeti is protecting the corpse of his Skrull partner.

Early 1993 - The Promise come out of suspended animation for a week to learn about the world. Tobias Messenger kidnaps Lorna Dane and tries to convince her to join The Promise. The Promise fight the X-Men most of whom are lost below ground. Lorna Dane, Havok and Angel and kidnapped and The Promise then re-enter suspended animation.

Angel is freed from his chamber by Lucy Robinson, they visit her son but return to the Messenger Estate. Together they free Havok.

Professor X allows Angel to find the rest of the original X-Men. He enters the tunnels under the Messenger Estate where is petrified by means of Pixie Dust. Pixie and Ikaris take Angel near to the X-Men.

In late 1992, Cassandra Locke witnesses The Human Torch (II) encounter Yeti, whilst she meets the Fantastic Four.

Patrick Carney arrives in the 90's from his time-jump, he misses the death of his generation of heroes, but arrives in time to witness the start of the next.

Freshman Robby (Bob) Reynolds takes the Professor's secret formula and becomes The Sentry (he is the first hero since the death of the First Line).

One week later Reed Richards, Benjamin Grimm, Susan Storm and her brother Johnny take the first flight in an experimental rocket. They get bombarded by Cosmic Rays and get transformed into the Fantastic Four. They meet the Mole Man (aka Harvey Elder) and defeat him.

Soon after the Skrulls return to Earth, four of their spies impersonate the Fantastic Four in preparation for the second Skrull Invasion of Earth - they are defeated by the Fantastic Four.

The events of the Skrull impersonators are discussed in a Restaurant in New York City by two of the remaining members of the First Line - The Yankee Clipper (II) and Pixie, and her cousin Ikaris.

Namor: The Sub-Mariner is discovered by Johnny Storm. Namor regains his memory after 35 years - he discovers Atlantis in ruins and attacks humanity. He is defeated by the Fantastic Four.

Testing of an experimental Gamma Bomb takes place, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner goes out on the test range to save Rick Jones from being blown up. The bomb explodes and Banner becomes irradiated with gamma radiation - he is transformed into the Hulk.

Soon after Peter Parker get bitten by a radio-active spider and becomes Spider-Man

Dr. Donald Blake is on holiday in Norway , he comes across Aliens and takes shelter in a cave. He finds an ancient cane which he uses as a lever to get out of the cave. He strikes the cane against the cave and is transformed into Thor - he defeats the Aliens and transforms back into Donald Blake.

Henry Pym becomes the costumed adventurer Ant-Man (I).

Billionaire Playboy Tony Stark is kidnapped by Communist Guerrillas in the Vietnamese jungle. He is injured and has shrapnel in his chest. Guerrilla leader Wong-Chu discovers Stark is a famous weapons inventor and set him to work. Stark befriends Professor Yinsen and together they design the Iron Man armour. Yinsen is killed and so Stark uses the Iron Man armour to defeat Wong-Chu. Stark leaves the jungle and returns to New York.

Janet Van Dyne becomes Ant-Man (I)'s partner and takes the code name The Wasp.

Loki plots revenge against Thor. He uses the Hulk as part of his plan. Rick Jones tries to contact the Fantastic Four to help, but instead gets hold of Thor, Ant-Man (I), The Wasp and Iron Man. Togther they team up alongside the Hulk and defeat Loki - they decide to stay together and form the Avengers.

Jean Grey joins the students at Professor Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. She takes the code name Marvel Girl and joins the X-Men. Magneto makes his first public move against humanity and takes over Cape Citadel - he is defeated by the X-Men.

Captain America (I) is discovered frozen in ice by the Avengers. They revive him and he joins the Avengers.

1988

Dr. Cassandra Locke arrives from the 22nd Century to witness the end of a generation of heroes and villains. These heroes and villains joined together to stop the first Skrull invasion of Earth - and succeeded (dying in the process).
The Governments of Earth would cover up that they ever existed.

The Yankee Clipper (II) arrived in the 1980s from the temporal anomaly created in 1963 when he met Dr. Cassandra Locke. He meets up with his brother (Mr. Justice) and his friend (the Black Fox) - he first meets Pixie and by the end of the year jumps forward in time to just before the formation of the Fantastic Four.

1985

Dr. Bolivar Trask and his son Lawrence (who doesn't know he's a mutant) are in the process of building the first Sentinel - the Master Mold. Trask's daughter Tanya comes back in time to alter the future only to be followed and stopped by her friend Rachel Summers. Before going back to the future Tanya leaves infomation about "the Twelve" in the databanks of the Master Mold.

James MacDonald Hudson steals his prototype cybernetic suit from AM-CAM Petrolium, he destroys the suit but keeps the helmet which is his property.

James MacDonald Hudson is employed by the Canadian Government, and alongside Heather McNeill begin to form Department H.

  1984

Members of the First Line defeat Nocturne who has used his Alchem-Tech techno-organic virus on the Baxter Building. At the same time Jay Stevenson discovers a space craft and a plot by a race of aliens calling themselves Skrulls to invade the Earth. While the First Line are battling Nocturne, Ruth MacRae is attending a law lesson from Dr. Robert Paine (Gadfly and the Black Fox respectively). Jay Stevenson meets Reed Richards to unmasks him as the Skrull spy (with amnesia) and hands him over to Effigy and the First Line for questioning. A second Skrull spy (a female) tracks down former First Liner Yeti in the Himalayas.

1983

The Promise come out of suspended animation for a week to learn about the world. Tobias Messenger learns about a mutant called Gracie, he convinces her to join The Promise. The Promise then re-enter suspended animation.

  1981

Construction is almost completed on the Carmody Institute. Nick Fury breaks in to the Institute only to be captured by a half-constructed Walkabout and taken to the main control room. There Nick Fury encounters Oxbow, Pixie and Effigy (who reveals his alter-ego), he also meets Professor Carmody - whom he believes is long dead. Warlord Kro and some Deviants attack the Institute and are after Pixie. The First Line members and Nick Fury battle the Deviants and are joined by new members Rapunzel, Morph and Yeti. During the battle Dr. Cassandra Locke arrives from the future after witnessing the end of the "lost generation". Captain Hip and Sunshine discover their daughter has inherited some of their powers. Dr. Cassandra Locke is the first person to witness Professor Carmody in a homunculus form cyber-link with Walkabout. With the Deviants defeated the First Line turn their attention to Dr. Locke who resumes her travels into the past. Nick Fury is debriefed by unknown Government agents about the First Line and is recommended for Project S.H.I.E.L.D.

Professor William Carmody is shot by a sniper and left mortally wounded. His daughter Mary Carmody and his assistant Jim Fitzpatrick use Professor Carmody's organ preservation experiments to save his life and he becomes the Eternal Brain.

The Eternal Brain is getting used to his new body when the Carmody Estate is "invaded" by Effigy and the First Line. Effigy requests the Eternal Brain's help (and limited telepathy) during a mission to rescue Mr. Justice from Halwan forces. Nick Fury and some CIA agents invade the Halwan capital Kamilabad at the same time the First Line invade the Castle of the Lion Throne. Dr. Cassandra Locke arrives in this time period and realizing where she is, she tries to alter the future. Dr. Locke is captured by Scimitar, she is saved by Blackjack who is murdered by Scimitar as payment. Mr. Justice escapes and is healed by Nightingale and the Black Fox retires.

Tom Smallwood finds a glowing egg and takes it home, it hatches into a humanoid female and she is named Marinna.

4th July 1976: Professor Carroll of Rutgers University gather twenty-five of his students. They enter hibernation tubes and go into suspended animation for the next 25 years.

Dr. Cassandra Locke is continuing her travels back in time - she discovers evidence that there was possible Skrull activity on Earth in 1947. The Black Fox saves Captain Hip, Sunshine and Truth MacRae from muggers only to get verbal abuse from Captain Hip. Pixie visits the Black Fox at the Foxhole and informs him that Agent Colby wants to see them in Washington. Agent Colby reveals that Nocturne is active once more, this time in Petralova - Pixie and the Black Fox travel to Transylvania where they meet up with Dr. Strange. Pixie learns that Nocturne is a vampire. Dr. Strange helps defeat Nocturne, but again he escapes when he starts freeing Diablo from his tomb.

Dominic Destine performs in Greenwich Village as Hex: Master of Mystery. He falls into an interdimensional portal created by an ancient puzzlebox and is rescued by Dr. Strange.

Lucy Robinson tries to leave The Promise, but learns that her eldest had been killed in Vietnam and she'd been declared legally dead by her husband - she retuns to Messenger. The Promise then re-enter suspended animation.

The First Line battle Nocturne and his undead "Invaders" and defeat them, unfortunately Nocturne escapes. At the same time the Black Fox has a run in with President Nixon who threatens to revoke Federal Authorization for the First Line - which he later does. Effigy and the Black Fox talk about Effigy replacing Nixon - which he refuses. The Black Fox is Best Man at the Knight Templar's wedding, where the Knight Templar announces his retirement.

Black Bolt is attacked by his brother Maximus to prove he can not control his sonic powers.

Maxiumus enters a pact with a Kree Emissary. Black Bolt tries to capture the Kree, this result in the death of Agon and Rynda and affects Maximus's sanity.

The First Line help Katyusha to defect from the USSR

July 21st 1969: On Earth, the Black Fox is relaxing with Katyusha who has recently defected from the USSR. At the same time Neil Armstrong is taking (what is believed to be) the first walk on the moon by a human being. Effigy and the First Line are fight villains employed by Skrull agents on the moon's surface. Effigy enters the Skrull vessel and reveals himself to be a Skrull spy who has been stranded on Earth for 20 years - when he finds out what the Skrulls are planning he destroys the Skrull vessel and the moon landing is successful.

Team X agents Sabretooth and Wolverine go to the USSR to kill the Soviet Super-Solder Epsilon Red and stop the Russians getting to the moon before the Americans - the mission ends with Sabretooth murdering Epsilon Red's wife.

Interpol Agent Sean Cassidy and French Police Inspector Magrite Deveraux track a serial killer to Cassidy Keep in Ireland following instructions Agent Cassidy received from Magento. The Serial Killer turns out to be Arkady Gregorivich, Gregorivich infects Inspector Deveraux with his "Death Spore" virus and she falls from the battlements of Cassidy Keep to her death. Agent Cassidy handed Gregorivich over to the Authorities who then passed him over to a Special Interest Group.

Later that year Team X agents Maverick, Sabretooth and Wolverine are sent to Germany to stop one of the Soviet Super-Soldier programs and retrieve a piece of technology known as the Carbonadium Synthesizer - they encounter Soviet Super-Solder Omega Red (formerly Arkady Gregorivich). They are betrayed by double-agent Janice Hollenbeck who is later killed by Sabretooth.

Odin send Thor to Earth to help defeat an evil corrupting the youth of America. Upon arriving on Earth Thor meet Pixie and joins the First Line on their mission to defeat a Nazi War Criminal by the name of Rumor. Rumor has used his power to control the Goddess Venus and through her expand his will upon the youth of America. Venus's power affect Sunshine who in turn hypnotises Captain Hip into fighting for Rumor. Rumor is defeated by the First Line and Thor. Thor returns to Asgard while Captain Hip and Sunshine retire and prepare for the birth of their child.

The City of the Uranian Eternals is destroyed in a natural disaster. All the Eternals and Professor Matthew Grayson are killed

Marvel Boy returns from Earth to discover this catastrophe. He begins to return to Earth only to get stuck in the tail of the Kohoutek comet placing him in suspended animation.

The last public appearance of Louis Sadler as Major Mapleleaf at a press conference where he announced his secret identity, his retirement and devoting his life to the raising of his son Michael Sadler.

November 21st 1963: Nightingale has a premonition that something terrible would happen in the next 24 hours in Dallas, Texas. The First Line travel to Dallas, Texas and fight Howler and Chimera. Chimera murders Liberty Girl and is killed by Effigy after revealing his is former Skrull Commander. Dr. Cassandra Locke appears and meets The Yankee Clipper (II) - they get caught up in a Temporal Energy Wave and disappear. Meanwhile in Canada Pixie meeting Sam Matonabbe and says he will be her partner. When the First Line leave Dallas Lee Harvey Oswald enters the School Book Depository on the route President Kennedy will take the next day.

November 22nd 1963: President John Fitzgerald Kennedy assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas, Texas.

November 24th 1963: Team X agents El Tigre and Garra (alias Sabretooth and Wolverine) are in Cuba on a mission when they here about the assassination of President Kennedy. Their cover was blown by Silver Fox.

The First Line battle the Red Front
(pre Marvel: The Lost Generation #3)

Pixie first meets The Hipster - they fight some of the Yellow Claw's minions. She asks him to be her partner, but her refuses. Dr. Cassandra Locke warps to 1961 from the events in Marvel: TLG #7 and discovers that the Yellow Claw has the missing and amnesiac Sub-Mariner. Meanwhile in Atlantis Namora is telling Prince Byrrah that her search for Namor has proved unsuccessful - Prince Byrrah reveals that Warlord Krang is working on something to defend the realm. Krang's weapon is revealed to be an infant Mako in a nutrient bath. In San Francisco the First Line (alongside The Hipster) battle the Yellow Claw and his minions, Nightingale senses Namor's pain, he knows he's been brainwashed but not who he is. The Claw blows up his headquarters and disappears in the process - Dr. Locke goes back to the events in Marvel: TLG #1 - Namor disappears in his amnesiac state and the Black Fox captured Fritz Von Voltzmann.

4th July 1959: The Wasp and Captain Marvel (III) travelled back in time during the Destiny War and encountered the "50's Avengers" - between them they defeated a Skrull imposter posing as Richard Nixon and Space Phantoms posing as FBI Agents. This timeline was wiped from existance by Immortus.

1958

The Yankee Clipper (II), Liberty Girl, The Black Fox and Agent Scott are on a Caribbean Mission for the US Government. While they are on this mission The Yankee Clipper (II) meets a mysterious female healer.
(Pre Marvel: The Lost Generation #2)

The Yankee Clipper (II), Liberty Girl, The Black Fox and Agent Jake Scott meet the Monster Hunters on Long Island - The Monster Hunters are there due to Dr. Druid's psychic emanations, the others are there to investigate security breaches at a secret government facility. They fight a monster who turns out to be a scientist transformed by Skrull technology. Agent Scott fights a Communist Spy (who is actually the Skrull Vuhn) - he follows him to the Skrull spaceship and is attacked by Vuhn he loses control of his morphing power in front of The Yankee Clipper (II). At Suffolk County General Hospital the Yankee Clipper (II) calls in a mysterious healer who appears to cure Agent Scott - this allows Velmax to use his morphing abilities out in the open - he assumes the name of Effigy. The mysterious healer is given the name Nightingale and together The Yankee Clipper (II), Liberty Girl, The Black Fox, Effigy and Nightingale become the First Line.

The Black Fox fights Nocturne in Chicago, Nocturne takes Miriam hostage and kills her to ruin The Black Fox's life.

FBI Agent Jimmy Woo brings together 3-D Man, Marvel Boy, Venus, The Human Robot and Gorilla-Man to help him rescue President Eisenhower from the Yellow Claw. This is the only known outing of the "50's Avengers" in the mainstream Marvel Universe.

Harris Moore encounters a gaseous comet and gains superhuman powers. He begains fighting crime as the Comet.

Paul Destine emerges from suspended animation - he renames himself Destiny (I) and sets out to destroy Atlantis. Destiny (I) causes massive earthquakes which destroy Atlantis killing Emperor Thakorr and Princess Fen as well as scattering the Atlanteans.

Namor fights Destiny (I) but is defeated when Destiny (I) compels him to fly to New York City, wiping his memory and dulling his mind in the process.
