Synopsis: In Asgard Odin is not happy with his son Thor, who had broken a treaty with the Storm Giants of Niffelheim. After the pair of them have an arguement Odin sends Thor to Midgard (Earth) to help stop a sinister threat who would command and corrupt the dreams and deeds of the humans.

On Earth Sunshine is entranced by Venus alongside the rest of the crowd. Captain Hip tries to get her to snap out of it, but it stopped by Pixie. Captain Hip asks Pixie to stop Sunshine with her pixie-dust, Pixie refuses as the Black Fox doesn't want any unwanted attention. It turns out that Venus is under the mind-control of Rumor.

Back-stage Rumor discusses his plans with a mind-controlled Venus when one of his stooges brings in Sunshine. Venus is shocked as Sunshine is too old to be affected by Rumor, but Sunshine says that age is just a state of mind. Rumor is pleased that Sunshine came under his spell, but realises that if Sunshine was their other super-types might be there including the First Line. He doesn't know they are being watched by Pixie.

Pixie senses something behind her and throws her pixie-dust at her unknown foe, her foe turns out to be Thor. Meanwhile Captain Hip is searching for Sunshine, he finds her but she doesn't recognise him. He tries to explain who he is and who she is and that if she goes with him everything will be alright. Sunshine doesn't think so and uses her lightshow powers on him.

At the First Line's L.A. Command Post, the Black Fox is angry that the hippies (Captain Hip and Sunshine) have disappeared. Oxbow (who has his leg in plaster) explains that it's their case as well. Major Mercury says not to worry as kids get a little wild every generation. The Black Fox says that mind-altering agents are at work and he names Venus and Rumor. Rebound says she remembers reading his file, any questions it being Rumor as he's thought to be dead.

Before the Black Fox can answer Pixie returns with Thor, Oxbow isn't too pleased to see Pixie with someone else. The Black Fox is even less happy, as Pixie has brought a total stranger into the Command Post. Major Mercury says to leave it as it appears that every kid west of the valley has taken to the streets.

Rebound says that it appears they are being led by Captain Hip and Sunshine. Frank says he can't stop a mob and that they can't hurt kids. Mr. Justice replies by saying not to worry as the Black Fox will think of something. They realise the Black Fox has left and so they all follow leaving Oxbow behind.

Effigy sees where Captain Hip and Sunshine came from and transforms himself into a child to see what's going on. He enters Rumors hideout and instantly recognises Venus from when they met in 1952. Rumor asks why didn't he go with the others, Effigy replies by saying hear can't hear so good.

Rumor explains that the mask he's wearing is his trademark. Effigy thinks back to some classified records about Rumor, and how he was a member of the Third Reich elite. He recalls how Robert Paine stopped him and how everyone thought Rumor was dead.

The Black Fox watches tens of thousands in the streets, and thinks it's ironic that they are being led by Captain Hip and Sunshine, especially when they got their powers from a secret C.I.A. drugs test. The Black Fox swings down and uses sleeping gas on some of the children, Sunshine uses her powers on the Black Fox, but he knocks her out before they take effect.

Captain Hip then attacks the Black Fox for hurting Sunshine, but he is stopped by Thor. Rebound reminds everyone that they have to stop the mob, Frank tries to help by throwing a car at the children, Major Mercury stops the car from crashing and catching on fire (he then thinks how pleased he is that Pixie asked him to take this new identity since the Monster Hunters split up).

Thor and Pixie are attacked by children when Venus uses her powers on Thor. Rebound tries to stop Thor, but by now he's under Venus's spell. He is knocked unconcious by Frank - Rumor is impressed, but Effigy is not happy with Thor being present as they don't know who he is.

Rumor uses his power on Frank and get Frank to throw Thor down the street - Pixie follows Thor to stop someone from being injured when Thor lands. Meanwhile Captain Hip and Sunshine wake up and freed from Rumor's/Venus's spell. Captain Hip asks how Sunshine could get drawn into all of what's happened as she's not a kid - Sunshine reveals she's pregnant.

Rumor changes his control on the children from love to kill (as in kill the First Line). Effigy uses his powers and turns his arm into a lasso and covers Rumors mouth. The Black Fox slightly crushes Rumors vocal cords stopping the subsonic pulse he generates. Venus comes out of the spell.

The Black Fox asks Thor to join the First Line, Thor refuses and returns to Asgard. Frank asks if Captain Hip and Sunshine would like to join the First Line, they announce their retirements. Major Mercury asks Venus what's wrong, she replies by saying she know he's not the real Mercury, but she's really Venus and she can't help wondering if that was really Thor...
