| Significant Issues: | Captain America #234 (as a young boy became obsessed by Captain America, after Captain America (I) disappeared at the end of World War II - Captain America (IV) went to College and got a Ph.D in American History (his thesis was on 'The Life of Captain America', in 1953 he went to Germany to do research into the Nazi files on Captain America (I), discovered the Super-Soldier serum formula, returned to America and went to Washington with the Super-Soldier formula refusing to hand it over unless he became the next Captain America, U.S. Government agreed wanting a Captain America for the Korean War, when War ended U.S. Government cancelled plans for new Captain America, Captain America (IV) took up teaching post at the Lee School (Connecticut), befriended student Jack Munroe, with Munroe took Super-Soldier serum (without exposure to Vita-Rays) and became Captain America (IV)); Young Men #24 (teaches his history class about the original Captain America (even though he does give away classified information!), stops Bucky (III) from fighting classmates, whilst on the way to get some new books hears on the radio that the Red Skull (II) has the U.N. Hostage, enters the U.N. and fights the Red Skull (II), defeats the Red Skull (II)); Young Men #26 (visits Oaklake University to be part of a lecture on fighting Communism, injected with a "virus of evil" by Dr. Standish, gives lecture on how good the Russian are, turns traitor and attacks Bucky (III), later attacks American soldiers, later meets up again with Bucky (III), they fight the Communists, reveals he knew Dr. Standish was a Communist and that the injection didn't work); Young Men #28 (alongside Bucky (III) on the trail of smugglers of Dope from Red China, knocked unconcious and fell into smugglers ship (by accident), woke up and met the Captain (Captain Saunders), hid and overheard crew talking about the Dope, fought crew but saved Saunders, followed Saunders to the drop-off point and learnt that Saunders had tricked them, fought whilst Bucky (III) was taken hostage by Saunders, when the crew shot Saunders in the back fought the real smugglers and defeated them)Captain America (Vol I) #78 (first encountered the Russian assassin Electro, fought and defeated Electro alongside Bucky (III) though Electro to have been killed); Captain America Annual #13 (two nights later encountered Electro and the Red Skull (II) in the United Nations Building, fought Electro whilst the Red Skull (II) escaped, watched Electro run out of electricity and appeared to die again); Post Captain America Annual #13 (due to instability with the Super-Soldier serum (cured by the Vita-Rays) both Captain America (IV) and Bucky (III) began to go insane); Captain America Annual #6 (in July 1954 alongside Captain America (IV) attacked innocent cardplayers believing they were Communists, rendered the innocents unconcious); Post Captain America Annual #6 (captured by the FBI in mid-50's and put into suspended animation); Marvel: TLG #1 (discovered as part of Operation: Deep-Freeze by Patrick Carney in 1955). |
